Symptoms
The 'sscs list array' or similar output from the GUI does not identify all arrays present or some times none of them.

When hardware and network issues are not present, however some arrays still cannot be seen.

A refresh process at the SP is the first option that has to be tried. If that does'nt solve we have to force the sp to reconfigure its list of devices to recover the "lost" arrays.

Resolution
From SP:
1) cd /opt/se6x20/cli/bin
2) [sp0]# ./sscs login -h sp0 -u storage
3)Enter password.
4) [sp0]# ./sscs list array
Array: array00
Ouput only shows array00 and not array01.
5) Restart the se6000 services:
[sp0]# /opt/se6x20/bin/restart_se6000
Requesting WBEM And Tomcat Services To Be Restarted
Please Wait...
WBEM And Tomcat Services Have Been Restarted
[sp0]#
6) Repeat steps 1-4 above.
Output from the sscs list command should identify the arrays
If this doesn't work try the following:
From SP
a) /opt/SUNWstade/sysbin/config_solution -m 6920 -t sun1 (substitute 6920 with your 6x20)
b) /opt/SUNWstade/bin/rasagent -d2
c) Repeat steps 5,6 followed by 1-4.
Output from the sscs list command should now identify the arrays.

Comment: Please review the following modifications I've done on this doc:

- Removed the steps 5-7 and replaced them with the step 5 only. Reason is because we shouldn't use directly the /etc/init.d/init.se6000 script but instead use the /opt/se6x20/bin/restart_se6000 script.
- Added "Sun StorEdge 6320 System" into the Products.
- Added "Administration" into the Technology Areas.
- Added the keywords "services, restart".

Thanks
Nicolas

Comment: Please do a little more to this document to give the people who will be using it some more understanding of what happened, why it happened and why this fix or procedure worked. It is great that you have the step by step, but not everyone may understand just the way it is.

Also, if this only applies to the 6920, please change the title and references to 6x20 to 6920. If it applies to more than just the 6920, you need to specify each specific product in the product area.

When you've made the changes, please send back to tech review.
