Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1003495.1 : Sun Enterprise[TM] 10000: DR operation error: "Can't clnt_create: hostname: RPC: Rpcbind failure - RPC: Timed out"
PreviouslyPublishedAs 204915 Symptoms An attempt to perform a Dynamic Reconfiguration (DR) operation on a Sun Enterprise[TM] 10000 domain results in the following output: Checking environment... Establishing Control Board Server connection... Initializing SSP SNMP MIB... Establishing communication with DR daemon... Can't clnt_create: metis: RPC: Rpcbind failure - RPC: Timed out Error: can't communicate with DR daemon. RPC setup failure. Check DR host daemon. Unable to continue. Resolution The output indicates that the SSP can't communicate with the target Sun Enterprise 10000 domain. Check /etc/hosts to ensure the IP address of the SSP and the domain are correct on both the domain and the SSP. If they are not, then this is the error condition you will see.
