SYMPTOM: Subsystem may power off

A manufacturing defect has been identified in some battery assemblies
manufactured for the SE9985 subsystem. The manufacturer failed to insulate
the assemblies properly leaving an exposed area on some assemblies that
could potentially short to the frame of the battery box. In a rare
case scenario this short could cause potential fire hazard.

Workaround

If your subsystem serial number or your additional battery feature serial
number matches the affected list and the batteries in the subsystem have
not been replaced for this problem (have a blue sticker in the upper right
hand corner of the assembly), then please order the modified battery
assemblies and replace them.
If you have any questions about the battery assemblies or  replacement
procedure, please follow normal escalation process. Refer FCB-H001 for all
details including nondisruptive battery replacement procedures before
replacing
the assembly.
