Sun Fire[tm] X4600 Server: Repair Procedures

This section provides tips (when available) for the most common repair procedures for the Sun Fire X4600. The repair procedures are provided in the following manual:

The following table provides tips associated with each component.

Component	Tips
CPU's	A limited number of AMD Opteron CPUs in X4100, X4200, X4500 and X4600 systems can cause unexpectedly system shut down without warning or trace evidence. (FAB 1017422.1).
Ethernet	Small number of Northstar Dual GBE -03 cards may fail on certain systems due to defective voltage mux. (FAB 1000525.1).
Power Redundancy	Sun Fire X4600 Rev E 3+1 Power Redundancy conversion to 2+2 power. (FAB 1000656.1).
