ISP-80 Disk ControllerSelf-Test Error CodesLED 7 lights to indicate a failed self-test Diagnostic Engineering MonitorThe Diagnostic Engineering Monitor (DEMON) is entered when the Diag/Norm switch is in the Diag position.
Self-test output is monitored by connecting the ISP-80 controller to a terminal set to 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit. The ISP-80 Controller serial port is a 25-pin, dual in-line, header-type connector. Since Sun does not make a cable that connects the ISP-80 controller and a terminal, use an adapter cable and a null modem cable. Adapter CableExamples of Sun cables that can be used as adapter cables are:
Sun SMD data cables cannot be used as the adapter cable because they do not have Pin 2. Null Modem CableThe null modem cable must have Pins 2 and 3 crossed and Pin-7 straight. Laserwriter Cable 530-1172-03 is an example of this type of cable. Last updated: December 2, 1996 | ||||||||||||
