Sun Blade 100 Codename: Grover |
Notes
- The minimum operating system is Solaris 8 10/00.
- The FCC Class B chassis is marked with the letter A on the EZ Label.
- The ST320011A latch cover change is marked with B on the EZ Label.
Memory Notes
- The minimum memory requirement is one DIMM in U2.
- The memory installation sequence is U2, U3, U4, and U5.
- Each DIMM slot addresses 512MB with 500MHz UltraSPARC IIe.
- OBP <=4.5v0 incorrectly reports errors as DIMM1 (U2) to DIMM4 (U5).
- OBP 4.5v9 correctly reports errors as DIMM0 (U2) to DIMM3 (U5).
System Board Notes
- All system boards are identified as 375-0096 by OBP and prtconf.
- The 375-0096 was used from 09/00 until 06/01 (date code 121).
- Systems built with 375-0096 have no letter code on the EZ label.
- The 375-3061 was used from 06/01 (date code 121)
until 08/02 (date code 231).
- Systems built with 375-3061 have letter code A or B on the EZ label.
- The 375-3061 tray is not compatible with the FCC Class A chassis.
- The 375-3106 was used from 08/01 (date code 231) until end of production.
- Systems built with 375-3106 have letter code B on the EZ label.
- When installing the system board onto a tray, make sure the four rear panel
EMI springfingers are installed above the IEEE1394 connectors, not inside
the connectors.
Further Board Notes
- 375-3092
(ECO WO_22711, December 2001)
consists of the board FAB of 375-3061 and the Class A chassis
from 375-0096. 375-3092 resolves the problem of attempting to
install 375-3061 in a system that shipped originally with 375-0096,
since 375-3061 is incompatible with the Class A chassis.
- 375-0096 and 375-3061 are not mutually compatible. Neither
board can be installed in a system that originally shipped with
the other. Order 375-3092 instead.
- Boards labeled "375-0096-06" are functionally equivalent to 375-3061-01.
NVRAM Notes
- The NVRAM was removed from the Service FRU in April 2003.
