Host ID Chip

Telco: Netra t1

no part number

If you ever need to replace an entire Netra t1, you can re-use the old system's host name and MAC address in the new system. The host name and MAC address are stored on the motherboard in a removable component called the Host ID chip.

Notes on Installing/Replacing:

  1. Remove the Host ID chips from both the new and the old systems.
  2. Fit the Host ID chip from the old system onto the motherboard of the new system.
  3. Power the system and then drop to the ok prompt.
  4. Issue the command 'reset-all', the system will then read the Host ID chip.
