Selecting Objects

There are three methods of selecting objects:

Selecting Objects

Visual Thought allows you to select single and multiple objects in a variety of ways.

Select by Clicking

Eight selection handles appear around the circle. You have selected the circle.

Selection Key Modifiers

Select by Clicking-and-Dragging

You can also click-and-drag the cursor across the View. This dragging creates a selection rectangle; whichever objects intersect the rectangle are selected.

To select multiple objects,

Double-click on the chosen shape in the Selection dialog also selects all instances of that particular shape.

Selecting All the Objects in the Diagram


Ctrl-A is a very useful key accelerator. For example, the quickest way to delete all objects from a document is to type Ctrl-A followed by Backspace.
