List of Cursors

The following table lists the cursors used by Visual Thought's Drawing Tools.

Cursor

Name & When it Appears

Arrow cursor

The cursor is shaped as this arrow when you are in Select mode. Select menu items, click on buttons, select objects.

Cross cursor

Used when you click on the Connection and Shape tools.

Constrained Cross cursor

When you Ctrl-click while creating a connection, the new point is constrained to move along horizontal or vertical lines.

Duplicate cursor

When you middle-click in Select mode, you can duplicate objects and move the duplicates.

Constrained Duplicate cursor

When you Ctrl-middle-click in Select mode, you can duplicate objects and constrain the motion of the duplicates to horizontal and vertical lines.

Hand cursor

Used when you click on the Pan tool.

Move cursor

Used when you move objects in Select mode.

Constrained Move cursor

When you Ctrl-click in Select mode, you can constrain object motion to horizontal and vertical lines.

Reset Zoom cursor

When you Shift-click in the Zoom tool, the magnification is reset to 100%.

Resize cursor

Used when you click on a selection handle to resize an object in Select mode.

Constrained Resize cursor

When you Ctrl-click on a selection handle in Select mode, you can constrain resizing along horizontal or vertical lines.

Text cursor

Used whenever you are in Text tool.

Unzoom cursor

When you Ctrl-click in the Zoom tool, the magnification is reduced by a factor of 2.

Zoom cursor

When you click on the Zoom icon in the View window, the cursor changes to this shape.
