Reporting Bugs

• First, try to be reasonably sure that there's really a bug. Check the Advanced RenderMan book, the BMRT User Manual.
• Second, please try to narrow it down to a simple test case that clearly illustrates the bug.
• Be sure to note which platform you're on and what version of BMRT you're running.
• Then email bugs@bmrt.org.

Asking for help with BMRT or the RenderMan Interface

• First, RTFM! Before writing to me directly, be sure you've exhausted all other resources, including the Advanced RenderMan book, the BMRT User Manual, and any other resources including those on my RenderMan Links page.
• Consider posting your question to comp.graphics.rendering.renderman. Lots of helpful people there can often answer your question faster than I'll get to it.
• OK, you're sure that the information you need isn't elsewhere? Then email help@bmrt.org.
