This directory, tapecopyscripts, contains two scripts which can be used to
read the FrameMaker 2.0 master tape and write exact duplicates of it.

Use readmastertape to read the files from the tape into 3 tar image files.
These files take up about 17.5 Megabytes and contain all of the information
on the master tape. Readmastertape can read tapes from local and remote
tape drives.

The writemastertape script is run from the same directory in which you ran
readmastertape, and is run once for each FrameMaker 2.0 tape you create.
Writemastertape can create both 1/4" cartridge and 1/2" reel tapes, as long
as the tape drive is connected to your local machine. You can use NFS to
mount the directory with the tar images onto the machine with the tape drive
and rlogin to that machine and then run writemastertape from there.

If you want to install the FrameMaker 2.0 tape for your own use, please run
the script called readtape in the directory in which you did the initial
installation.
